Heyhead Farm is situated on a picturesque 5-acre farm in Harwood, nestled between Bolton and Bury. We have over 30 animals including goats, sheep, alpacas, emus, wallabies, donkeys, horse, chickens, ducks, rabbits, guinea pigs and geese which are taken care of by our students.
Our facilities include a classroom, food tech room, stable block, small animal/incubation room, 5-acres of fields and a forest school area situated in our orchard complete with adventure trail, swings, teepee, and fire pit. We also have a horticultural area where we grow fruit, veg and herbs to use in our cookery classes along with apples from our orchard and eggs from our chickens and ducks.
We are an ASDAN centre offering ASDAN qualifications, all our children follow the national curriculum core subjects, and all our lessons are delivered by qualified teachers.
